Pic 2 – Copy

We used this copper pot, which we cooked over a bracero, or the traditional style stove used in early California. The braceros were made out of ladrillo tiles, which had carefully placed holes where a fire built underneath the tiles could cook an item on top of the hole. Instead of building a fire, we cheated with camping burners placed inside the holes-we have to keep the fire marshal happy! Photo by Brittany Avila.
